A little bit.

You also have to make a connection from apache to tomcat.

Very simple is to use mod_proxy. Forward to the port of the
http Connector configured in server.xml.

If you need more you could use mod_jk.
For this is is very usefull to read the doc's from tomcat.

Configure script?  If it's a binary, just drop it on any old spot on your
system - change the server.xml file and run it.  Am I missing something?
