Subject RE: [users@httpd] httpd.conf
Date Fri, 31 Dec 2004 15:20:16 GMT
When I tried to do a make on apache1.3.33 I got this message

ld.so.1: ./gen_test_char: fatal: libssl.so.0.9.7: open failed: No such
file or directory

*** Error code 137

Libssl.so.0.9.7 is at /usr/local/ssl/lib

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks,

Spencer

Can you give me an example on how to the pass the flag and then verify

Pass the -l flag to the httpd binary and verify that mod_so is compiled
in...

if it isnt, you need to make sure you compile it in.

./configure ---with-apache =/apache_1.3.33 -with-ssl=/openssl-0.9.7e

Thanks

Well it certainly sounds like it was build static
in which case it has no idea what LoadModule means...

but if you can send the configure options you used...

that would certainly help...

I am not sure. I am building a IDS box (snort). I did a make and install
before I added mod_ssl.

Thanks,

Line 205 is:

LoadModule mmap_static_module libexec/mod_mmap_static.so

did you build apache to use shared modules or static?

I am trying to start apache 1.3.33. I think I have it installed
correctly using mod_ssl. I get this error:

# apache start

Syntax error on line 205 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf:

Invalid command 'LoadModule', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module
not included in the server configuration

/usr/local/bin/apache start: httpd could not be started

I have looked on line 205 but don't see a loadmodule command.

I am attaching my httpd.conf file any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.
