You can search WEB and download Manual . It will give you the explanation.
sendmail.cf has to be edited along with /etc/aliases for each list entry.
If still you have problem let me know I can send you want I have is web
links that I used 3 years back to create.

Can I create this listserv completely with Open Source software. Also, some
directions would be good, too.
