Hi Ralf,

I did 2 tests, the first one I put "/portal/teste.xls" and the result in
line Content-Type was "text/html". After that I put "/teste.xls" and the
result was Conten-Type: application/vnd.ms-excel.

These files are in the different places. The first query was made in:

/vignette/vignette/Portal/portal/teste.xls

And the second one was made in

/usr/websrv/docroot/prod_7.3/teste.xls

Queries:
The first one.

open a shell at your webserver. then enter
telnet localhost 80
telnet will open a connection to the server. here you enter the following:
GET /portal/test.doc HTTP/1.0<ENTER>
<ENTER>

you will get a lot of text, the only interresting thing is the serverheader
in the beginning. it should look like this:
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
GET / HTTP/1.0

HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Date: Mon, 22 Nov 2004 16:51:33 GMT
Server: Apache
Last-Modified: Wed, 10 Nov 2004 10:04:00 GMT
ETag: "11cbd-a32-939d0400"
Content-Length: 2610
Connection: close
Content-Type: text/html

you see the content-type line? this is what we need.
