If I understood correctly webapp is a subdirectory of ROOT
directory(ROOT is the Tomcat document root). You can successfully
connect to https://myhost/webapp. But you want to do an internal
forwad in Apache(not redirect) to all requests to https://myhost/ to
https://myhost/webapp. For this you can use the mod_rewrite module. If
I am right and you need more help post the queries.
