Subject [users@httpd] authentication through winbind has stopped working
Date Wed, 08 Sep 2004 18:15:13 GMT
My authentication through winbind has stopped working with a Fedora
Core 2 update of httpd and samba (and others),

httpd-2.0.49-4 -> httpd-2.0.50-2.1
samba-3.0.3-5 ->  samba-3.0.6-2.fc2

 From /var/log/samba/winbindd.log it appears the authentication went OK--
[2004/09/08 10:30:32, 5] nsswitch/winbindd_pam.c:winbindd_pam_auth(315)
  Plain-text authentication for user websterl returned NT_STATUS_OK
(PAM: 0)

But from /var/log/httpd/error_lot it appears that it did not--
[Wed Sep 08 10:30:32 2004] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] PAM: user
'websterl' - invalid account: User not known to the underlying
authentication module

Is it possible that mod_auth_pam.so and mod_auth_sys_group.so do not work
with the newer httpd?

Is there a way to increase the httpd debug logging to learn more?

Thanks,
Andrew
