Subject [users@httpd] Access log entries out of order - Apache 2
Date Thu, 12 Aug 2004 16:17:13 GMT
As I was analyzing the access log of the Apache 2 Web server, I noticed
that the log entries are not in chronological order. I see log entries
intermixed that can be up to a couple of minutes different. Here is an
example of the time stamps of the log entries(very abbreviated:) - - [12/Aug/2004:07:20:57 -0700] "GET
/images/home/partscounter_01.gif - - [12/Aug/2004:07:18:09 -0700] "GET
/g2m?action=GoBPage&id=79552F - - [12/Aug/2004:07:18:40 -0700] "GET
/g2m/action/GoBPage/id/22321F/hiLiteSku/22326/categoryId/12421/ - - [12/Aug/2004:07:20:57 -0700] "GET /images/searchBy1.gif - - [12/Aug/2004:07:20:57 -0700] "GET /images/searchBy2.gif

Is this normal for Apache 2? I never saw this behavior with Apache 1.3.

If anyone has experience with this, please let me know if its normal or
not and if not, any ideas on why its happening.

Systems specifics:
Red Hat Enterprise 3 ES (x86)
Apache 2.0.46 (latest RHE rpm) with mod_ssl
Resin 2.1.14
