Subject RE: [users@httpd] Redirect Question
Date Fri, 09 Jul 2004 14:19:47 GMT
RedirectMatch actually behaves more strangely.

If the site that I'm redirecting to has a query string in it, the whole request_uri is added
to the middle of the query string, and the & separator is removed.

For example:

RedirectMatch ^/foo.*$ http://server.domain.com/stuff/program?pagename=CMInternet/Page/StandardTeal&cid=1053522433651

The user goes to /foo/bar, and is redirected here:

http://server.domain.com/stuff/program?pagename=CMInternet/Page/StandardTeal/foo/barcid=1053522433651

Perhaps try:
RedirectMatch ^/foo.*$ http://server.domain.com/moo

Subject: [users@httpd] Redirect Question

Redirect /foo http://server.domain.com/moo

If a user goes to /foo/bar, they are redirected to
http://server/domain.com/moo/bar.

What's the best way to keep the 'rest of the path' from being appended? In
other words, I want a user who goes to /foo/<anything> to go to
http://server.domain.com/bar .
