Subject RE: [users@httpd] Mod_rewrite not logging
Date Mon, 26 Jul 2004 10:22:28 GMT
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^/kevan/($) http://cswww.essex.ac.uk/$1

RewriteLog "logs/rewrite.log"
RewriteLogLevel 5

<Directory "/usr/local/Web/kevan">
   Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews +Includes
    AllowOverride All
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from all

</Directory>

Here is an example of a rewrite rule that should work, it does on my
test machine. But on the server,no output is sent to the log, even if
set to level 9. There are no entries in any of the log files suggesting
a problem, and everything just works as normal.
As regards changing the ports, I have done this in the httpd.conf ok,
but it appears to ignore this and complain that the httpd pid is already
running, thus not starting up.
Thanks
Kevan
