Date Thu, 08 Jul 2004 22:01:57 GMT
Hello,

on a sometimes stressed server we see about 1-2 times a day this message:

[Thu Jul 01 09:59:09 2004] [warn] long lost child came home! (pid 18985)
[Thu Jul 01 11:24:16 2004] [warn] long lost child came home! (pid 21474)
[Thu Jul 01 12:11:27 2004] [warn] long lost child came home! (pid 22090)
[Fri Jul 02 12:50:35 2004] [warn] long lost child came home! (pid 25088)
[Fri Jul 02 15:23:52 2004] [warn] long lost child came home! (pid 25248)

Any ideas what this message means and what to do agains it ?

It's apache 2.0.48 with the worker and mod_jk (not mod_jk2 yet)
Running under SuSE 9.0 with kernel 2.4.20-64GB-SMP
Hardware is HP DL140, dual xenon box with 2x2.4 GHz CPU and 3GB memory.

Thanks

André
