Subject [users@httpd] no able to run exec from apache perl/php
Date Wed, 21 Jul 2004 21:47:15 GMT
hi...

in trying to run test scripts that use exec/system shell functions, the
exec/system functions don't appear to work. in searching apache/google/etc..
i haven't found anything that can provide insight into why this behavior is
occuring...

my setup is apache2/php-5/rh8.0 and is pretty much default. i'm tempted to
think that this might be a privs/permission issue, but i have no real idea
as to where to check to get a soln...

any ideas/comments/criticisms will be helpful.... i was able to create a
quick php script from the command line that used the exec function that
works...

thanks

-bruce
