Subject [users@httpd] LogLevel / ErrorLog question
Date Thu, 10 Jun 2004 08:56:09 GMT
Is there a way to specify a style for ErrorLog like you can with
CustomLog?

For instance, I have:
LogLevel warn
LogFormat "%h %l %u %t \"%r\" %>s %b \"%{Referer}i\"
\"%{User-Agent}i\"" combined
LogFormat "%h %l %u %t \"%r\" %>s %b" common
LogFormat "%{Referer}i -> %U" referer
LogFormat "%{User-agent}i" agent

ErrorLog /var/log/apache/error_log
CustomLog /var/log/apache/access_log common

However, I cannot figure out how to specify a certain type of logging
for ErrorLog, which would be very helpful. I've tried creating a
special "errors" LogFormat and adjusting the LogLevel, but no matter
what I set the LogLevel to, it doesn't catch certain errors when a
mod_perl handler dies.

Any information / tips would be helpful. Thanks!

PS: You get nice warm e-cookies if you can tell me why my Apache 1.3.31
+ mod_ssl is logging \n instead of newlines in some of the mod_perl
handler errors, such as:
[Thu Jun 10 02:39:55 2004] [error] Is a directory
(/tmp/mojo/HTML/Tmojo/TemplateLoader/app/run/LeadScience/mojo/BRANDS/gs2000_free/external_site/gs2/signup)

Thanks again!
