Subject RE: [users@httpd] .htaccess
Date Tue, 22 Jun 2004 21:14:39 GMT
My config file has the following in it: I'm not sure where to place the
AollowOverride directive at.

#
# access control
#

<Directory />
    Options FollowSymLinks
    AllowOverride None
    order deny,allow
    deny from all
</Directory>

AccessFileName .htaccess
# deny access to all files starting with '.ht'
<FilesMatch "^\.ht">
    order allow,deny
    deny from all
</FilesMatch>

Now when I add the following to the file I also get an "Internal Server
Error". Do I need to keep the .htaccess file in the directory when
adding this to the config file?

<Directory D:/webct/webct/user/instructor_resources>
   	AllowOverride AuthConfig
	authType Basic
	AuthName "Instructor Tools"
	AuthUserFile d:/users/usrs
	AuthGroupFile /dev/null
	Require user joebengal
</Directory>

Thanks,

Did you AllowOverride for the directory in the new server config?
