The mod_perl branch that goes with apache 2 is 1.99_*. The easiest way to check is:

	telnet rt.gtel.ie 80

then;

	HEAD / HTTP/1.0

<rtn><rtn>

This will respond with the server signature which will tell you what versions of apache and
other modules are running (assuming you haven't hidden the signature for "security" reasons...)
