Just to expand a little on what Aaron is saying; The point is that a
default apache (without any third-party or extension modules) will NOT
respond to any of the funny methods you're worried about. Methods like
PUT and DELETE are simply not implemented in the core apache.

This is because the core apache is simply a webserver and does not
support web-based authoring. It is only if you want to allow remote
users to edit content on your webserver that you need to add modules
like mod_dav which support PUT, DELETE, COPY etc.

Using Limit to block methods that your server doesn't support is like
wearing a parachute while walking about on the ground.
