Subject [users@httpd] apache 2.0.49 && PHP grief
Date Mon, 10 May 2004 17:16:10 GMT
Solaris 7 / SPARC , PHP 4.3.6. On SIGHUP, the server crashes with this:

[Mon May 10 11:47:29 2004] [notice] SIGHUP received. Attempting to restart
[Mon May 10 11:47:29 2004] [notice] seg fault or similar nasty error detected in the parent
process

I have found countless bugs for PHP on bugs.php.net, and they all seem to be resolved. But
they only seem to address Linux or FreeBSD. I have removed the PCRE component because this
was supposed to have been the part that was causing the trouble. To no avail, it still crashes.
Here is my config for PHP:

./configure --with-oci8=/opt/oracle/product/8.1.7 \
--with-oracle=/opt/oracle/product/8.1.7 \
--with-apxs2=/opt/apache2/bin/apxs \
--enable-track-vars \
--with-mysql=/opt/mysql \
--enable-sigchild \
--with-imap=no \
--disable-pear \
--without-pcre-regex \
--with-gd=/usr/local \
--with-freetype-dir=/usr/local \
--with-jpeg-dir=/usr/local \
--with-png-dir=/usr/local \
--with-zlib-dir=/usr/local \
--with-ldap=/opt/oldap \
--with-mhash

Here is my build for apache:

./configure \
--with-layout=Apache \
--prefix=/opt/apache_2.0.49 \
--enable-rewrite \
--enable-ssl \
--with-ssl=/opt/build/solaris/5.7/openssl/openssl-0.9.7a \
--enable-suexec \
--with-suexec-caller=apache \
--with-suexec-bin=/opt/apache_2.0.49/sbin/suexec \
--with-suexec-docroot=/u/sites \
--with-suexec-gidmin=50 \
--enable-module=rewrite \
--with-mpm=threadpool \
--enable-module=status \
--enable-module=info \
--enable-headers \
--enable-module=so

Have I done something terribly wrong ? If anyone has Solaris 7 SPARC and PHP 4.3.6 working
I would love to see your config.
Many thanks and happy monday !

~rocker
