Sounds like the module/server did not build properly. What is the file
size of libexec/mod_log_config.so (is it 0)?

you can use nm to dump the symbol table:

nm mod_log_config.so | more

.....
[112]   |         0|       0|NOTY |GLOB |0    |UNDEF  |atoi
[48]    |      4640|     156|FUNC |LOCL |0    |8      |clf_log_bytes_sent

It is defined (in mine).
