Subject [users@httpd] mod_dav and Linux compiling problem
Date Fri, 23 Apr 2004 09:45:55 GMT
Using mod_dav with httpd-2.0.48 I encountered this error:
http://mailman.lyra.org/pipermail/dav-dev/2003-March/004477.html

preventing me from having property values above 1 KB in size.

I tried to compile httpd-2.0.48 on Suse Linux 8.1 (kernel 2.4.21) with
berkeley-4.0.14 at:
/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.0

but
./configure --prefix=/home/gcasper/apache2.0 --enable-mods-shared=most
gave me:

checking checking for Berkeley DB 4.0 in /usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.0...
checking db4/db.h usability... no
checking db4/db.h presence... no
checking for db4/db.h... no

so I decided to try berkeley-4.1.25 at:
/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.1

./configure --prefix=/home/gcasper/apache2.0 --enable-mods-shared=most
ran fine but "make" aborts with:

home/gcasper/runtime/httpd-2.0.48/srclib/apr-util/.libs/libaprutil-0.so:
undefined reference to `dbopen'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [httpd] Fehler 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/gcasper/runtime/httpd-2.0.48'
make: *** [all-recursive] Fehler 1

Any idea what may be the cause or what I could do is much appreciated!

Thanks
Guido
