What free SMS service? Do you have a URL?

Considering that SMS is a major revenue generator for telecoms, I'd be
astonished (and delighted) if anyone was offering a free service.

The point I was making is that it is not PHP (or rather apache) which is
sending the SMS. PHP/apache is just taking the data from the form and
submitting it to *another* server which is actually sending the SMS. You
could just as easily write a CGI program, java servlet or ASP to do the
same. It might be that PHP already contains a predefined template to
allow you to do this more easily.
