Subject RE: [users@httpd] tar.bz2 looks like tar.tar problem - doesn't happen on IIS
Date Tue, 02 Mar 2004 07:52:28 GMT

Thanks for the response. But when placing the file on an IIS server the
IE downloads it properly with the right tar.bz2 extension
Do IIS and IE understand each other ? Can I manipulate that feature on
Apache .. ?
Roiy

I have seen this too but I think it is an IE6/XP issue rather than
Apache. Best bet would be to look for an IE patch or just rename it
manually after downloading.

Hi All,

When downloading a tar.bz2 from my apache 2.x server the IE treats it as
tar.tar file instead of tar.bz2.
Any suggestions .. ?

10x , Roiy
