One other guy gave a lot of very good information.  You need to be sure that the
ISP you use is one that WILL allow a server. Some of them will (and do) turn off
port 80, 8088, etc.  I use a company called speakeasy.net and they allow you to
run a server of any kind. They have DSL for a fairly good price.  Also they do issue
static IP's.

I don't want to change from AOL to another ISP, however, is there any ISP which only provides
static or public ISP.
