I used both of those commands and they both work on my 7.3 system but there
is nothing listed under IRQ 7.  Any other suggestions?

Try:
cat /proc/interrupts

Also, if you have lspci installed, you could try:
lspci -v

The former is quick and dirty, the latter has lots of good info that you'll
have to sift through.
