Subject [users@httpd] authentication/satisfy any query
Date Mon, 16 Feb 2004 17:00:38 GMT
hi,

im looking for a way of implementing the following kind of
authentication logic in my apache config:
	if ( ip = A ) {
		permit access
	} elseif ( ip = B && user = U ) {
		permit access
	} else {
		deny access
	}

i cant see a way of doing this using the run time directives.
"satisfy any" comes pretty close but seems to implement:
	if ( ip = A ) {
		permit access
	} elseif ( user = U ) {
		permit access
	} else {
		deny access
	}

is there any apache config i could use to implement this? or
do i have to resort to firewall rules etc.

thanks for your help,

colm ennis
