Subject [users@httpd] Problems with SSI
Date Thu, 12 Feb 2004 22:38:08 GMT
I'm having some problems getting SSI to work on Apache 1.4.26 on Debian
3.0r2.

I have a small personal website on my local machine for testing,
accessed through the VirtualHost "aiaa.localhost".

The pertinent parts of my httpd.conf are:

--
LoadModule includes_module /usr/lib/apache/1.3/mod_include.so

XBitHack on

NameVirtualHost 127.0.0.1

<VirtualHost 127.0.0.1>
     ServerName aiaa.localhost
     DocumentRoot /home/joeljkp/School/Organizations/AIAA/Website
     Options All MultiViews
     XBitHack on
</VirtualHost>
--

/usr/lib/apache/1.3/mod_include.so exists.

The page is actually in
/home/joeljkp/School/Organizations/AIAA/Website/Testing.

The website loads fine when I visit http://aiaa.localhost/Testing, but
the SSI directives aren't parsed. Viewing the source on the resulting
page simply shows them as comments.

I've tried with "AddHandler server-parsed .html" in my VirtualHost block
as well, but to no avail.

Here's the directory listing of my files:

-rwxr-xr-x    1 joeljkp  joeljkp      7377 Feb 11 15:20 skydawgs.html
drwxr-xr-x    2 joeljkp  joeljkp      4096 Feb 11 22:48 stylesheets
--

As you can see, the execute bit is set for each .html file.

What am I missing here?

Thanks in advance.
