Hmm, right well apache must be sending something strange as I have two servers both running
the same version of apache, both configured for default installs pretty much and one is doing
it, yet the other is not.  The only difference really is one is FreeBSD 4.8 the other is 4.9

	Apache does *not* rename files.  It is your browser that is doing the
	renaming when it decodes the gzip compression.  See Apache's AddEncoding
	and AddType directives to see what hints it provides to browsers, but it
	is the browser that is making the final decision.
