Subject [users@httpd] VirtualHosts Issue
Date Fri, 02 Jan 2004 22:47:07 GMT
I'm running server version 1.3.28.

I recently moved, and upon starting my system up again, I began getting
these errors from the httpd server about my VirtualHost setup:

[Fri Jan  2 17:40:21 2004] [warn] VirtualHost 24.62.xxx.xxx:80 overlaps
with VirtualHost 24.62.xxx.xxx:80,
the first has precedence, perhaps you need a NameVirtualHost directive

It doesn't make any sense to me because namely I didn't make any changes to
my config, other than for the appropriate (new) IP address.

Indeed, I've tried removing the VirtualHosts and then re-adding one at a
time, and still get this error. I have in the configuration:

NameVirtualHost 24.62.xxx.xxx

and the default, as before, is set to:

<VirtualHost *>

which lies BEFORE any other virtualhost definitions, which look like:

<VirtualHost 24.62.xxx.xxx>
	Servername	something.com
</VirtualHost>

Notice the last line of the error(s) says that the IP 24.62.xxx.xxx has no
VirtualHosts, which simply isn't true. They are all there as they were before.

So I'm stumped about how to nail this one down. Any tips/advice would be
appreciated.
