Subject [users@httpd] Graceful restart doesn't work when adding a VirtualHost.
Date Fri, 30 Jan 2004 18:08:12 GMT
Hello All.

I'm having a strange problem and I can't find any solution.

The problem is this:

1) I start the server with "./apachectl startssl". I get the "./apachectl
startssl: httpd started", that is OK.

2) I add a new VirtualHost to the list.

3) I restart the server: "./apachectl graceful". I get the msg "./apachectl
graceful: httpd gracefully restarted" that is OK too. But it really didn't
The error_log shows only this line: "[Fri Jan 30 14:46:41 2004] [notice]
SIGUSR1 received. Doing graceful restart", but no the rest of the usual
ones that are:
"[Fri Jan 30 14:01:30 2004] [notice] SIGUSR1 received. Doing graceful
[Fri Jan 30 14:01:30 2004] [notice] Apache configured -- resuming normal
[Fri Jan 30 14:01:30 2004] [notice] Accept mutex: sysvsem (Default:

4) The server get stopped. And then obviously I have to start it again.
5) The VirtualHost does work perfectly. There is no problem using it.

What am I running?

Distribution: Slackware 9.0
Kernel: 2.4.23
Apache: 1.3.29 with mod_ssl-2.8.16-1.3.29, php-4.3.4.
OpenSSL: openssl-0.9.7c

When the server has started with "./apachectl start" (ssl disabled) it works

Help please!

Thanks in advance.
