Subject [users@httpd] Troubles with Multiple Domains Single IP and web redirect
Date Fri, 26 Dec 2003 04:32:10 GMT
Not sure I know how to do what I want, so I am asking the list.

background

mac Os 10.3.2 with Apache 2

Multiple Domains all pointing to single IP.

DNS says:

www.example.com		->  192.168.100.1
www.domain.com		->  192.168.100.1
www.foo.com		->  192.168.100.1

Now I want to have

mail.foo.com point to a web based mail program which actually lives
at www.foo.com/webmail/ In DNS mail.foo.com points to 192.168.100.1
like everybody else. I do not know if I need to create a virtual host
and if so how
to give a web path or do I need some kind of redirect / alias.

Given up on Server Admin and playing with files directly.
Let me know if I need to modify http.conf or the www.foo.com.conf file
please (or other of course).

Basically no idea where to start.

Thanks in advance and happy holidays!

Ian
