Subject RE: [users@httpd] Reloading apache
Date Fri, 31 Oct 2003 09:17:09 GMT
Hi

I run apache2 on Red Hat.

I use the following command:

apachectl restart

This command works with apache1.3.xx and 2.x.xx
This is the command recommended in the apache docs to restart/reload the
server.

Øyvind

What is the proper way of reloading the apache after changing the config

file?

kill -USR1 pid

or

kill -1 pid
