Subject RE: [users@httpd] Random page not found error

Nope, I'm not sure, maybe it is. It's happening on both servers with
both of my computers. The requests do NOT show up in my local
access.log, I only get those other entries in error.log.. That would
kind of mean it's client based though, or?
I'm using IE 6 on both machines, and the error is
"Cannot find server", "The page cannot be displayed".
But I have never had such errors.. Not that I have noticed at least, and
not so frequently.. Why would my site provoke this? I don't have any
'special effects', and I've even taken care to write all pages with
valid html & css (w3c).
I just now tried to provoke the same error with Opera 7, but it has not
yet shown up.. It comes and goes in IE though, so it's no proof that
it's not the servers.
It feels pretty hopeless, but thanks for your time and interest. I'll
wait and see if somebody has maybe experienced the same problem.

Are you sure this isn't a client issue? Do the requests appear in the
apache access_log? What exact error message do you get at the client?

Joshua.
