X-Spam-Rating: minotaur-2.apache.org 1.6.2 0/1000/N I've just installed apache2.0.47 on a RH9. every time i try to start apache with apachectl (graceful|start|restart) it got the error.. "(98) Address already in use; make_sock:could not bind.. Unable to open logs Now i've done ps -e | grep apache ps -aux | grep httpd lsof -l | grep httpd netstat -a=20 and many other combination of them but there isn't any trace of the running server... Therefore i think: is an user problem.... vi /usr/local/apache../httpd.conf # user apache group apache # user and group were already added but i never installed any httpd.rpm. but the problem is still here!!! ./configure --enable-so make .. install=20 are all OK I'm user root during any chanche What i can do? P.S. I found a large literature about this kind of error but everyone fix it by a kill -9 PID but is not my case Thank you for a reply Best regards =B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0= =B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0| =B0 Corradino = =B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0= =B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0| =B0 E-Mail: g.corradino@libero.it = =B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0| =B0 = =B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0= =B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0| =B0 The Best Way To Accelerate a PC: 9.82m/s^2 =B0=B0| =B0 = =B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0= =B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0| =B0 Messenger ON = =B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0= =B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0| =B0 ____________________________________________=20 --------------------------------------------------------------------- The official User-To-User support forum of the Apache HTTP Server Project.
