Thanks for the info Todd,

One last question, do I also need to register www.any.name.maindomain.com
with the domain registrar of the main domain? Such as with netsol
or dotster, etc. and attach the sub to the main registrars DNS address?

Or will the name server address in the registrars record
for the main domain point the sub domain to the main's DNS,
and then the sub domain will resolve properly from there?
