Subject [users@httpd] Case Sensitivity
Date Thu, 18 Sep 2003 15:40:32 GMT
Hi

Is there a way of making Apache 2 case insensitive when it's dealing with
aliases?

That is, if someone types in:

http://www.mydomain.com/mymailinglist

or

http://www.mydomain.com/MYMAILINGLIST

it will take them to the same place.

At the moment I have to have 2 alias lines for each mailing list, like this:

Alias /mymailinglist "d:/www/lists/mymailinglist.html"
Alias /MYMAILINGLIST "d:/www/lists/mymailinglist.html"

When you've got in excess of 4,000 lists that's an awful lot of aliases.

Thanks
