Subject [users@httpd] Client certificate authentication issue
Date Tue, 30 Sep 2003 19:57:13 GMT
Hi,
I am running apache 2.0.43 on Windows 2000. I have the client certificate
and intermediate root certificate installed in my browser. I have the same
intermediate root certificate along with the root certificate on the server
as PEM-encoded file. I have specified SSLCACertificatePath to point to the
directory where these two certificates are stored.
The problem now is when I try to go to the website, I get the list of
certificates displayed but after which something is going wrong. I get the
following error in my log file. Any help or pointers is most welcome.

Tue Sep 30 15:43:26 2003] [error] SSL handshake interrupted by system [Hint:
Stop button pressed in browser?!]
[Tue Sep 30 15:43:27 2003] [error] Certificate Verification: Error (20):
unable to get local issuer certificate
[Tue Sep 30 15:43:27 2003] [error] SSL handshake failed (server
fptest.exostar.com:443, client 172.17.34.83)
[Tue Sep 30 15:43:27 2003] [error] SSL Library Error: 336105650
error:140890B2:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_CLIENT_CERTIFICATE:no certificate
returned

Thanks
Ramanan
