Subject [users@httpd] Defining a different home page
Date Thu, 25 Sep 2003 10:50:47 GMT
Hello.

I have a website divided into directories:
http://www.server.com/dir1/
http://www.server.com/dir2/
http://www.server.com/dir3/

I want that if someone connects to:
http://www.server.com/
he sees the webpage at http://www.server.com/dir1/

I have tried this with an Alias:
Alias / "/web/dir1/"
But when I connect to http://www.server.com/dir2/ it doesn't work because it
sends me to /web/dir1/dir2/ and not to /web/dir2/.

I have tried with a Redirect:
Redirect / http://www.server.com/dir1/
But then the browser gets another redirection to
http://www.server.com/dir1/dir1/

Maybe I have to use the Referer? Do someone know a solution for this?

Thanks in advance.
