Subject [users@httpd] Using LDAP on Apache 2.0.47
Date Tue, 19 Aug 2003 09:55:39 GMT
Hi,

I have installed openldap and openssl to /usr/local and would like to use
Apache 2.0.47 with both of them. Therefore I configured Apache with
"./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache2 --with-ssl --enable-ldap
--enable-auth-ldap" but after executing the "make" command I get the
following errors (abbreviated):

..
/bin/sh /home/werner/httpd-2.0.47/srclib/apr/libtool --silent --mode=compile
gcc -g -O2 -pthread -DLINUX=2 -D_REENTRANT -D_XOPEN_SOURCE=500
-D_BSD_SOURCE -D_SVID_SOURCE -D_GNU_SOURCE -DAP_HAVE_DESIGNATED_INITIALIZER
-I/usr/local/openldap-2.1.22/include -I/usr/local/openssl-0.9.7b/include
-I/home/werner/httpd-2.0.47/srclib/apr/include
-I/home/werner/httpd-2.0.47/srclib/apr-util/include
-I/home/werner/httpd-2.0.47/srclib/apr-util/xml/expat/lib -I.

This error even comes up when I use additional CPP- and LDFLAGS to include the
lib/ and include/ directories of openldap and openssl (as you can see from
the output above). Has anyone ever experienced this problem or what's messed
up here?

Bye and thanks,
Werner.
