Is this compiled into httpd ?
If not, is there a LoadModule directive for it in httpd.conf ?

List the compiled modules. You do not load this in httpd.conf.
[apache] # apachectl -l
If not there, you can either do a ./configure or in httpd.conf, issue a
LoadModule.
Try that.
