Subject [users@httpd] querying OPTIONS
Date Wed, 09 Jul 2003 10:27:59 GMT
Hi,

Inotice that my apache installation under MacOSX outputs a rather
exauhstive list when querying the server with "OPTIONS / HTTP/1.0":

OPTIONS / HTTP/1.0

HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Date: Wed, 09 Jul 2003 10:15:48 GMT
Server: Apache
Cache-Control: max-age=60
Expires: Wed, 09 Jul 2003 10:16:48 GMT
Content-Length: 0
Allow: GET, HEAD, POST, PUT, DELETE, CONNECT, OPTIONS, PATCH, PROPFIND,
PROPPATCH, MKCOL, COPY, MOVE, LOCK, UNLOCK, TRACE
Connection: close

Now, when I try this on my FreeBSD box (rather similar apache
configuration, similar compile & install) I get:

OPTIONS / HTTP/1.0

HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Date: Wed, 09 Jul 2003 10:24:25 GMT
Server: Apache
Content-Length: 0
Allow: GET, HEAD, OPTIONS, TRACE
Connection: close

Connection closed by foreign host.

Anybody know why OSX list so many allowed http methods and FreeBSD is so
limited? The configuration files are (almost) identical...

Cheers,

-Morten
