Subject [users@httpd] Make directory available via http
Date Thu, 31 Jul 2003 08:59:35 GMT
Hello,

I want my ftp directory to be viewable via http. How is this possible under apache?

I've setup a virtual host that points to my ftp directory. When I view the ftp site through
my browser, I get a forbidden error.
It says that either the directory is read protected or I don't have an index file. Is it
possible for apache to generate the index
file itself such that it would display the contents of the ftp directory?

The directory is /var/ftp

/var/ftp has permission bits 755
/var has permission bits 755

Thanks!

Best Regards,

Carlo
