I just now did exactly that, no error messages nothing.
Seems to be running just fine.
Windows XP Pro SP1 and current updates..
Apache 2.0.46-win32-x86 msi autoinstall
Celeron 800 MHz, 396 Megs Ram, 80 Gigs, ADSL.
Not a single hitch, well, still have to go in and reconfigure http.conf
Question, were your XP Pro updates all completed...?
