I don't know how much you know, but:
vim /etc/httpd/conf/commonhttpd.conf
hit ESC then "i" to start editing.
To save: ESC, :, w
Exit: ESC, : , q

A couple editing tips (this is from console). If running from KDE or Gnome, 
use gedit. Don't forget to restart apache (apachectl 
start|stop|restart|graceful)

These tips may seem small, but they can be really helpful if you are a 
newbie (which all of us were at one point).
