Subject [users@httpd] Crypt_r Error During Make
Date Thu, 29 May 2003 20:10:49 GMT
Hello everyone, maybe somebody could help me out on this or has had the
same problem, I haven't been able to find anything on this:

I am trying to "make" Apache 2.0.46 on AIX 4.3.3 and the make will start
off fine, but then will exit with the following error:

apr_md5.c:753:2: #error Configuration error! crypt_r() should have been
selected!

make[4]: *** [apr_md5.lo] Error 1
make[4]: Leaving directory
`/usr/local/tmp/httpd-2.0.46/srclib/apr-util/crypto'
make[3]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory
`/usr/local/tmp/httpd-2.0.46/srclib/apr-util/crypto'
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/tmp/httpd-2.0.46/srclib/apr-util'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/tmp/httpd-2.0.46/srclib'
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

I captured my configure parameters to see if it was detecting crypt and
it looks as follows:

# cat myconfigure | grep crypt
checking for library containing crypt... none required
checking for crypt_r... yes
checking style of crypt_r... cryptd
checking crypt.h usability... yes
checking crypt.h presence... yes
checking for crypt.h... yes
checking for library containing crypt... none required
checking if system crypt() function is threadsafe... no checking for
crypt_r... yes checking style of crypt_r... none
config.status: creating crypto/Makefile

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Ryan
