Subject [users@httpd] Wild reloads
Date Tue, 22 Apr 2003 15:36:22 GMT

I'm not informaticist, so I don't know the proper words, but:

I've got Apache/2.0.45 (Win32) on Windows XP.
There is a strange bug maybe. When I request the list
of files in a directory via HTTP, many reloads happen
and eventually the page will brake randomly.

See the access log file:

[22/Apr/2003:17:07:08 +0200] "GET /library/ HTTP/1.1" 200 112101
[22/Apr/2003:17:07:08 +0200] "GET /library/ HTTP/1.1" 200 104124
[22/Apr/2003:17:07:08 +0200] "GET /library/ HTTP/1.1" 200 120105
[22/Apr/2003:17:07:09 +0200] "GET /library/ HTTP/1.1" 200 96100
[22/Apr/2003:17:07:09 +0200] "GET /library/ HTTP/1.1" 200 72079

There is nothing in error log file.

Importantly, it happens ONLY when there is a lot of files to
be listed (over 200-300).

Have you ever met with anything similar? Do you know what is going

Thanks for help.
