Subject [users@httpd] Apache 2 Problem on Windows
Date Wed, 12 Mar 2003 04:59:07 GMT
Hi,

I installed Apache 2.0.44 on Windows 2000, when I start the server, one Apache process keeps
a very high cpu usage which is at around +90% (I just installed the base product without any
additional configuration). I tried that on another machine, and it went ok on the other machine.
I don't have much log to look at and the error log looks fine to me:

[Tue Mar 11 19:42:42 2003] [notice] Parent: Created child process 1696
[Tue Mar 11 19:42:42 2003] [notice] Child 1696: Child process is running
[Tue Mar 11 19:42:42 2003] [notice] Child 1696: Acquired the start mutex.
[Tue Mar 11 19:42:42 2003] [notice] Child 1696: Starting 250 worker threads.
[Tue Mar 11 19:44:48 2003] [notice] Parent: Received shutdown signal -- Shutting down the
server.
[Tue Mar 11 19:44:48 2003] [notice] Child 1696: Exit event signaled. Child process is ending.
[Tue Mar 11 19:44:49 2003] [notice] Child 1696: Released the start mutex
[Tue Mar 11 19:44:50 2003] [notice] Child 1696: Waiting for 250 worker threads to exit.
[Tue Mar 11 19:44:50 2003] [notice] Child 1696: All worker threads have exited.
[Tue Mar 11 19:44:50 2003] [notice] Child 1696: Child process is exiting
[Tue Mar 11 19:44:50 2003] [notice] Parent: Child process exited successfully.

Basically the whole machine becomes very slow and I cannot load up the root page (http://host/).
Is there any additional aid (logs, tools) that can help me to solve this problem?

Kind Regards,

Kel
