Subject [users@httpd] detection of browser language for apache docs
Date Fri, 14 Mar 2003 08:15:13 GMT
Hi,

I couldn't find any mention of this anywhere and it's probably a minor
thing.

The detection of the browser language doesn't seem to work quite right for
the online docs, for example:

If "en_gb, en_us, de, fr" is the list set in the browser (IE 6) then one
gets the German or French docs.

"en" must be specifically added to the browser's list to get the English
docs.

Does this mean that all the language handling within apache uses only "xx"
and it won't look at "xx-yy"?

thanks,

mike Wright
