Subject [users@httpd] Delivering empty content? Why?
Date Thu, 06 Mar 2003 12:18:46 GMT
All--

I am sorry to be posting this again, but I really need someone's help here.
Almost a whole day passed since writing my previous post "Empty File in
Browser" and I am still in the exact situation.

Meanwhile, digging through archives did little, except that now I know for
sure I don't have a proxy problem nor a firewall problem nor a AV problem.
I do have F-Secure installed, but when turning its products off -allegedly,
no scanning is performed-, the same thing appears.

To restate:

Apace 2.0.43, winXP Home edition, no Service Pack installed.

The server starts up just fine. I see the access logs are getting filled
with OK responses, but with 0 file length.
When accessing a file in the web tree, I get no error, as stated, but the
files are all 0 - length. I am banging my head against the wall and find no
solution whatsoever to this (maybe I should change my head-banging
destination).

Here are the entries in the access log:
[

HTTP/1.1" 200 0

The httpd.conf file is just the default one, with the appropriate path
changes.

Some time ago, I ran the same Apache distribution on a win2000 server and
it worked with no problem at all, being almost a kick start. Now... just
nothing appears in the browsers!

Has anybody had this problem before and fixed it somehow? I am looking
forward for any pertinent direction on this.

Regards,
