Subject [users@httpd] Newbie: Proxy Directive Problem
Date Tue, 18 Mar 2003 17:49:30 GMT
I want to change

http://server1/mail to http://server2/exchange

so I enabled

LoadModule proxy_module modules/mod_proxy.so
LoadModule proxy_connect_module modules/mod_proxy_connect.so
LoadModule proxy_http_module modules/mod_proxy_http.so

and edited

<IfModule mod_proxy.c>
  ProxyRequests On
  <Proxy *>
    Order deny,allow
    Allow from all
  </Proxy>
  ProxyVia Full
  ProxyPass /mail http://server2/exchange
  ProxyPassReverse /mail http://server2/exchange
</IfModule>

but

requests to http://server1.mail get converted to http://server1/exchange and
not server2

what am I missing

yes I know about the security implication - I will sort this when I get it
working
