hi,

this has been discussed on the list. you can search the archives for 
"grep" at http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/

basically,  a change has been made to the tooling that depends on a 
certain version of grep. you'll either need to get the grep the httpd 
 code expects or modify the libtools as necessary. i'd recommend getting 
the grep. you can get the grep source code from any of the gnu mirrors,
