Subject [users@httpd] Problems exiting apache 4.0.22 on W2K
Date Sat, 29 Mar 2003 02:47:26 GMT
Not sure why this is happening...

When I exit my server (4.0.22 on Win 2000) from console with Ctrl+C, it
takes 3 - 4 minutes to finish (seems longer) and the error.log says the
following (I apologize for the length):

[Fri Mar 28 21:01:55 2003] [notice] Parent: Created child process 1532
[Fri Mar 28 21:01:55 2003] [notice] Child 1532: Child process is
running
[Fri Mar 28 21:01:55 2003] [notice] Child 1532: Acquired the start
mutex.
[Fri Mar 28 21:01:55 2003] [notice] Child 1532: Starting 250 worker
threads.
[Fri Mar 28 21:02:00 2003] [notice] Parent: Received shutdown signal --
Shutting down the server.
[Fri Mar 28 21:02:00 2003] [notice] Child 1532: Exit event signaled.
Child process is ending.
[Fri Mar 28 21:02:01 2003] [notice] Child 1532: Released the start
mutex
[Fri Mar 28 21:02:02 2003] [notice] Child 1532: Waiting for 250 worker
threads to exit.
[Fri Mar 28 21:02:30 2003] [notice] Parent: Forcing termination of
child process 184
[Fri Mar 28 21:05:02 2003] [notice] Child 1532: Terminating 1878054832
threads that failed to exit.
[Fri Mar 28 21:05:02 2003] [notice] Child 1532: All worker threads have
exited.
[Fri Mar 28 21:05:02 2003] [notice] Child 1532: Child process is
exiting

It, in fact, doesn't exit until after it reboots my machine.

Most is normal, but the most significant line is, of course, the
'Terminating 1878054832 threads..." one.

The same version exits fine on my XP and NT boxes.I have tried
uninstalling and reinstalling it a couple of times.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Tom
