Boyle,

Thanx for your tips.  I tried those out and moved some
things around and it does appear to be working at
least with simple files.  I guess it's doing what it's
designed to do.  In any case many thanx for offering
helpful suggestions and advice, unlike the bloody
flamers in here sometimes.
